I love homebirth. I completely trust my body to know what to do; it was created to do it. Birth is not an illness, and it has no place among the sick in an atmosphere of fear.I have had all four of my children in a home birth setting with a certified nurse midwife attending. I can't imagine doing it any other way, and I hope that I never need to.

I completely agree. Homebirth is the way to go if you can. Both mine have been at home with a midwife and in water. I hope #5 is just as smooth and peaceful for you guys as your boys were. BTW congrats on getting your little girl. - Nicole
ReplyDeleteI haven't had any of them in water yet, but am tempted to try. The house we live in now has a large jacuzzi tub, which just might be perfect for that!
ReplyDeleteYay for homebirth! When I wrote you back this afternoon, I thought about asking, but decided not to be 'nosy'. Our last 3 were born at home, with the last one being my first waterbirth. I can't recommend it enough, if you like water/baths at all. I was able to relax so much more, and it was my quickest labor to date (only 8 hours, down from 21+). I hope all goes smoothly for you! I also invite you to join the HomeBirthingPregnancy e-mail group at Yahoo groups. They're a great bunch of ladies, many with larger families/conservative views. Hope to 'see' you there!
